Carrie has been a Plant Ecologist and Volunteer Coordinator with Boulder County Parks & Open Space (BCPOS) for 12 years, where she has developed extensive expertise in native seed collection, production, and management. She oversees the BCPOS Native Seed Program and has led hundreds of native seed collections with volunteers and staff. She also co-manages a local native seed production garden and manages the BCPOS seed storage room and native seed inventory, which includes hundreds of unique seed lots and thousands of pounds of native seed. In addition to her seed work, Carrie has experience with a range of ecological restoration projects, including stream and riparian restoration and grassland ecological uplift. She is currently working closely with the BCPOS Asset Management System (AMS) team to integrate the native seed inventory into the new AMS platform.
