Erickson Smith has been developing Jefferson County Parks and Open Space's bat program for the last four years. As a member of the wildlife ecology team, he works on a variety of inventory and monitoring programs and interdisciplinary teams. Over the course of his career, Erickson has worked for federal, state, non-profit, and county land management agencies on the east coast and mountain west. In addition to the bat program, Erickson co-leads the JCPOS volunteer raptor monitoring program, and is exploring acoustic monitoring applications for the inventory and monitoring of amphibian breeding sites, breeding raptor territories, and bat diversity and distribution.
