Speaker Bio
Born and raised in Colorado, Kellina Gilbreth has always felt at home in the great outdoors. Her 18-year career in education, training, and support began at Western State College in Gunnison, where she earned her degree in geology. She went on to spend 15 years teaching middle and high school earth and space science, STEM, engineering, and robotics, earning her Master’s in Science Education from Montana State University while teaching full time. Kellina’s background also includes trauma-informed care and grief support, including guiding individuals through profound loss and supporting military families at Fort Carson during COVID.

Over her three years with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Kellina has led a wide variety of training opportunities for CPW staff and partners and served as the Colorado state coordinator for the National Archery in the Schools Program. Now stepping into the role of CPW’s first Peer Support Training Specialist, her focus is twofold: building a practical, transparent, and completely confidential peer support program tailored specifically to the agency, and collaborating with the Training Unit to strengthen officer instruction.

When she’s not training others or connecting with teams across the agency, Kellina indulges in her favorite outdoor pursuits—hitting the open road on her motorcycle, camping, or bowhunting and bird hunting with her husband, Ian.
