DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for a conference homebase option during the field-trip offerings on Tuesday afternoon, then we have the right fit for you! Allow Maggie Gaddis the Executive Director of the Colorado Native Plant Society and others to lead you through the story of the development of the Colorado Springs native plant-focused horticulture program, the JCPOS Native Plant Growth Study, and Jefferson County's Native Plant Materials Program development. The story involves over one hundred volunteers in two counties, who collected and planted native seeds, grew the plants in the COS greenhouse and planted them in a restoration site on JCPOS North Table Mountain, where they monitored their growth. This field trip-session will include an interactive and hands-on portion not to be missed!
