DESCRIPTION

The Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte "enriches the lives of people with disabilities and other specific needs through exceptional outdoor adventures" (ASC Mission). They offer summer and winter activities and professional instruction where people with any kind of disability can hike, bike, try a challenge course, water sports, rock climb, ski, snowboard and/or snowshoe. They are located in the base area of Crested Butte. Staff on hand will give COSA participants a tour of the facility, then learn about adaptive equipment and programming through indoor climbing (on a wall) and trying out an adaptive bike (on a mini-course). Come learn about adaptive sports programming from an amazing organization! This field trip will last from 1:30-3:30.
