Field Trips

DESCRIPTION

Volunteers will support hatchery operations by clearing brush to improve access, maintain grounds, and improve facilities. It’s hands‑on work that makes an immediate, visible impact on a place that supports local wildlife and healthy waterways. This service effort concludes with a short guided tour of the facility, providing insight into the lifecycle of kokanee salmon and trout during peak spawning season.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Work surfaces will be a mix of gravel, uneven surfaces and concrete pads/walkways. Water and restrooms are available onsite. Participants will be standing, moving, using hand tools and walking the entire time of the service project. The tour portion will be indoor and outdoor.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

All levels welcome.
