Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Elevation Hotel
DESCRIPTION
As Colorado implements the recently adopted Colorado Outdoors Strategy, agencies and communities are seeking better ways to understand and manage recreation access across the state. Mobile location data was identified in the Strategy as a key information gap and an emerging need for public land agencies working to address these challenges. In response, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) commissioned a statewide mobility data project to put actionable insights directly in the hands of land managers. In partnership with RRC Associates and SE Group, this session highlights a newly developed statewide mobility data dashboard that integrates data across thousands of public land sites in Colorado. Join CPW, GOCO, and RRC to explore the tool, see it in action, and learn how this emerging data source can be applied to inform planning, improve access, and support management decisions across a wide range of public land contexts.
