6C- Leveraging Partnerships to Scale Biodiversity Conservation Across Colorado
Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Elevation Hotel
DESCRIPTION
With approximately 60% of Colorado’s land privately owned, incorporating private lands into conservation efforts is critical for protecting the state’s rare species and ecosystems. The Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) identifies priority areas for biodiversity surveys and maps them alongside parcel and other data sources to guide data collection, analysis and sharing. Through partnerships with organizations such as Keep It Colorado and its member land trusts, Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Outdoor Regional Partnerships Initiative, and open space programs, CNHP is building connections with willing landowners, agencies and organizations to document our state’s natural heritage and expand conservation impacts.
