Elevation Hotel

DESCRIPTION

Catastrophic wildfire threatens Colorado’s open spaces, economy, public safety, watersheds, infrastructure, and communities. Proactive investment is essential to reduce wildfire risk, strengthen watershed resilience, safeguard open spaces for conservation and recreation, and avoid the far greater costs of disaster response and recovery. An interactive panel and facilitated discussions will offer practical examples and insights for connecting diverse open space management and stewardship interests through multi-benefit efforts. The session will spotlight sustainable funding opportunities and coordinated planning approaches. The panel will also explore challenges, lessons learned, key questions, and conditions for success. Facilitated by Keystone Policy Center and the Wildfire and Watershed Initiative for Resilient Colorado.
