Kelly Uhing is a vegetation management professional with over 28 years of experience working for agencies including Adams County, Colorado Department of Agriculture, and Denver Parks/Mountain Parks, Currently, she is the Vegetation Stewardship Manager with City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Department. OSMP manages permanently protected lands and area that is now over 45,000 acres. Ms. Uhing manages a team of 18 staff whose primary responsibilities include noxious weed management and restoration activities across the OSMP system. She is a member of the Western Society of Weed Science, Society for Range Management, as well as the Colorado Native Plant Society and is passionate about increasing biodiversity and improving overall health of the lands she helps manage. When not planning hostile takeovers of noxious weeds, she enjoys hiking (and yes, is one of those people who points out invasive plants), mountain biking, ice hockey, and going on travelling adventures with her daughter.
