Sophie Brennan is the Strategy and Planning Coordinator for Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS). She studied Human Dimensions of Natural Resources at Colorado State University and has worked for a variety of conservation-oriented organizations including the Colorado State Forest Service and Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, where she led native plant cultivation and restoration projects. In her time with JCOS, she has focused on developing their growing Human Dimensions program through expanding data collection methods and strategizing data-sharing. Sophie is passionate about better understanding the interface between public lands and their visitors to provide meaningful access while also prioritizing the protection of those lands.
