Speaker Bio
Born and raised in Colorado, Kellina Gilbreth has always felt at home in the great outdoors. After earning her geology degree, she spent 15 years teaching middle and high school earth and space science, as well as STEM, engineering and robotics. While teaching full time, she went on to earn her Master’s in Science Education. Her passion for hands-on learning extends beyond the classroom, and she continues to lead student volunteers in environmental programs like River Watch and Trout in the Classroom. She is the Colorado state coordinator for the National Archery in the Schools Program, and is actively developing natural resource-related work-based learning programs for high school students.

When she’s not inspiring the next generation of scientists, Kellina indulges in her favorite outdoor pursuits, which include bird hunting, archery and fishing. She also spends her weekends restoring and cruising in her beloved 1947 Dodge pickup truck, as well as hitting the open road on her motorcycle.
