7B: NOCO Places - Working across boundaries for sustainable solutions on public lands

Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM

NOCO Places is a collaborative organization of 8 public agencies with 5 counties (Boulder, Larimer, Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek), CPW, the USFS and Rocky Mountain National Park. We are addressing the challenges of high visitation and growing pressures on our natural resources. We are committed to sustainable solutions, equitable actions, and beneficial land management practices for the long-term conservation of Colorado’s public lands and the quality of the visitor experience. Our panel discussion will tackle: 1) Common messaging, 2) Natural resource inventories, 3) Cell phone data and 4) Focus group input. We'll breakout into small groups to talk about how you can take this approach in your area!
