During this interactive presentation, participants will be introduced to the Community Engagement: Guidelines for Excellence from the North American Association for Environmental Education. The guidelines were created by environmental educators, for non-formal community outreach professionals and environmental educators who want to work in stronger partnership with communities to strengthen the underpinnings of well-being—environmental quality, social equity, shared prosperity, and the capacity to pursue these goals together. Participants will leave with a tool to use for both creating new programming as well as review and enhance existing community engagement activities.
