The Denver Park Ranger program has partnered with an organization called Code 4 Counseling to create their first ever Peer Support Program. Code 4 Counseling provides first-responders and frontline workers with the essentials to develop and run a peer support program within their agencies. The program that we’ve developed includes critical incident response, stress management tactics and overall mental wellness of our agency in a peer-based support setting. No one understands a park ranger’s position quite like another park ranger. We are hoping to share the success of our program development with other agencies that face similar challenging circumstances.
